Victoria and newly born Abbey
With eight years experience as a midwife, both in private practice and in the hospital system, Victoria Jones runs Birthing Babies, an independent midwifery practice based in Port Macquarie, on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. Victoria is also a certified Childbirth Educator, and her two children have both been born at home, in water.
At Birthing Babies, we believe that all women have the right to unbiased information and education, and their choice of birthplace. Research continues to demonstrate that giving birth at home is the safest option for the majority of mothers and babies.
Birthing at home gives mothers, partners, and siblings the opportunity to share in the birthing experience, and it allows mothers-to-be to become active partners in the birthing process.
Birthing Babies offers the support of a private midwife, either for birth at home, or as a support person and advocate in the hospital setting. We also conduct a comprehensive antenatal education and preparation for parenthood program to all of our clients.
